• Welcome and introductions​​​​​​​

  • ​​​​​​​Attending: Rachel Reeder, Angeline Ady, Amanda Butler, Kandice Goodman, Greg Hansen

• Approve Minutes from April 17th

  • Talked About:
    • CSI and the growth made by students
    • Yet+
    • Amend Trustlands because more money has been given to the school. Here are some ideas to look at:
      • Internet Safety. Have Nick and Nate from savethekids.org come and present to the school and parents. Amanda will find out the costs to have them come and present.
      • Create Better Health Program
• Introduction to SCC
  • Review ByLaws, Responsibilities, Duties and Elections 
  • Discuss (sent to council members to review in September) 
    • 24-25 SCC Training
    • School Community Council Responsibilities
    • Recommended Timeline- School Community
  • Council members were able to view these trainings.
• Electing a Chair and Vice Chair 
• Review the current School LAND Trust Plan and Teacher and Student Success Act Plan (TSSA)
  • Most of the funding goes to Instructional Coaches
  • Principal Goodman shared the celebrations she shared with the Logan City School Board of Education
• Other
  • Discussed different ideas to help supply the STEM program really be a STEAM program where art will be included. Principal Goodman will be looking to see if we can apply some money towards this program.
  • Discussed lunch time and how we can improve helping children to eat their food better. Does the lunch staff have regulations that they must follow when serving children and adults their food?
  • Student Leadership Opportunities:
    • Americor Vista: He is working on ideas to give students  leadership opportunities in the school. 
    • Idea to have students come up with games that they can teach other children how to play them.
